Resistance Radio (a pirate radio network featured in Season Two of MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE) is an expansive project created by Danger Mouse (Brian Burton) and singer-songwriter Sam Cohen, representing a sort of pseudo-soundtrack to the dystopian alt-history Amazon series. The project envisions a playlist that could appear on the station, featuring cover songs from the early ’60s by the likes of Beck, Norah Jones, the Shins, Sharon Van Etten, Karen O, Angel Olsen, Grandaddy, Kelis, MGMT‘s Andrew VanWyngarden and Benjamin Booker and last but not least Kevin Morby covering Harry’s“I Only Have Eyes For You”.
The 18-track album is out April 7th via Burton’s 30th Century Records label.
A graduate of the “In The Studio with Bruce Swedien (Michael Jackson) Masterclass”, Eggleston has also mentored with legendary record producer, David Kahne (Tony Bennett, Paul McCartney, Lana Del Rey) and Grammy winning mixer Michael Brauer (Coldplay, John Mayer). Eric’s other work includes everything from working with Emmy winning tv/film composer Chuck Wild to doing music for the Ottawa Senators NHL team. Eric Eggleston has taken those experiences and incorporated them into honing his own songwriting and engineering skills creating a new collection of finely crafted songs.
